1. Transportation and Directions

The Sun Lake Shimane Prefecture Youth Center is located in Hirata-cho, Izumo-shi.  Please carpool as much as possible so that there is enough parking for all Sun Lake participants.  If there are multiple ALTs at the same BOE, please try to carpool together.  If you are coming from Matsue (Shinjiko Onsen station) or Izumo ,you can also use the Ichibata train line. (This does NOT leave from the JR station). Ichibataguchi (一畑口) is the closest train station to Sun Lake and it is under a 10 minute walk. Note; Due to the ferry schedule it’s best if Oki Islanders come to the mainland on Wednesday afternoon.

If you cannot get the Google Map to function and require more specific directions, please feel free to contact me.
